Against the picturesque backdrop of a blue sky and lush greenery, chart-topping singer-songwriter Rachel Platten took the stage at Meyer Green last Wednesday night. The intimate concert — which aimed to raise awareness for mental health — was sponsored by the Inspiring Children Foundation (ICF).

On Sunday, students gathered across campus for Day N Mayfield, a day-long annual music festival celebrating Stanford’s student artists, musicians and creative community. Hosted by Arbor Live, the event transformed Mars Lawn, Mayfield Avenue and Levin Field into a festival space filled with live performances, student-made art, community clothing vendors and food trucks.

Against all financial odds, the Stanford Drag Troupe officially brought Dragfest back—and they did not disappoint. This year’s unforgettable spectacle took over the Terman Fountain outside the Doerr School, featuring a jaw-dropping stage built right on top of the water.

The show began in near-total darkness, the historic silence of Memorial Church replaced with the mechanical thrum of pulsing music. A distorted voice served as the master of ceremonies (MC), welcoming the audience in the sanctuary illuminated only by a glowing, white “X.”
