I did music growing up (14 years of piano… 6 years of violin), but all of it was for the college app! So there was a lot of—for lack of better term—trauma and “means to an end” feelings that were too much to work on… so senior year (I’m class of 2024), I decided to sing! Because something about “breathing new life into songs” and just singing being such a visceral thing… the learning curve was a lot lower because we talk and use inflections everyday… so senior year I joined Stanford Talisman! Then between senior year and coterm year, I took a gap year and worked at Microsoft in Seattle. This was because you don’t really need a master’s to do CS… so if I liked work, I wouldn’t come back and do coterm. During that year when I was working in Seattle, I ended up making a band!! And me and my band performed around and jazz clubs and open mics, and parks, and it was soso fun and now I’m sooo itchy to do music again! Even itchier than before! So now I’m making a band… I’m doing a solo set for now because I want to hit the ground running, but you will see me again! With more people! Promise!

About my singing style… uh… a lot of texture? I am breathy when it calls for it, and crunchy when it calls for it… whatever sounds good really. Guitar I just picked up this past year for the vibes. Better band vibes if I just stand up there with a black on black strat. Yay.
